iMack 2009 – New Years Resolution Requirements Document
Overview
In previous years, the iMack system has not made New Years Resolutions on account of an iMack 1992 resolution not to make any more new years resolutions. However, given that iMack 2009 will be the first year of full-employment, personal and character stagnation is a threat not to be taken too lightly. Therefore, multiple resolutions should be undertaken. Thus, requirements will be outlined to improve iMack 2009 over the 2008 model.
Processes
Tasks with a definite completion event need to be done by Dec 31, 2009 at Midnight. Any continuing tasks should be at their sustainable level within the first 6 weeks of the the iMack 2009 release date and continue their operation through the end of the year unless specified exception situations exists.
Specific Requirements for System
- Cooking, given that iMack 2008 v5 contained a “grownup apartment” with fully functional kitchen, there is no excuse for a lack of cooking ability anymore. There is also sufficient storage space for materials unlike in previous dwellings. iMack has also noted that females place an almost irrational desire for a male who can cook, such that the iMack production team suspects the utterance “I don’t cook much” scares females away more than then utterance “I just got out of prison”. iMack 2009 will cook something “interesting” at least once a week. Where “interesting” is defined as a new dish which contains at least one ingredient that is difficult to pronounce. This requirement can be suspended in cases of travel away from Vancouver for periods greater than a week.
- Workout, while iMack 2006 undertook a more rigorous exercise regime with great success up until iMack 2008 v5, recent iterations have had trouble performing intense exercises due to the loss of a flexible work schedule and limited access to the motivation program Fish 2006-2008. While general activity still exists and has been supported on account of the Rugby feature, the number of 1000-calorie+ workouts has been reduced to 2 a week instead of the 2007 high of 4 a week. Thus, regards of the running status of the Rugby feature, 4 1000-calorie+ workouts a week need to be undertaken. This requirement may be suspended in case of injury or disease. While previous exercise regimes measure success in terms of loss in mass, no specific mass-loss goals will be prescribed given the need for large size to be productive in the Rugby feature.
- Creative, ever since the iMack 2006 dropped the mathNEWS editor functionality, there has been little outlet for iMack creative outisde of the low-circulation iMack development blog. While specifications for this requirement will be extrememly difficult to develop, the requirement for the creative resolution is to create a work that will become more notable than the now-defuct phonebooking.com project created by the iMack/Chris/Strick 2004 creative suite.
- Reading, given that iMack 2009 no longer has any explicitly required technical reading, it becomes important to ensure that technical skills continue to develop lest iMack find its professional functionality recede over time. At least 12 professionally oriented books should be read. While fiction/pleasure reading is strongly encouraged, no specific goal is given.
Performance
Close to the release of iMack 2010, an evaluation will be performed on the requirements specified for iMack 2009. If requirements are not met, iMack will try and give a plausible excuse for the lost functionality. If reasoning is insufficient, iMack users are welcome to complain to tech support.
